BRIDGETTE, MICHELL, LORRAINE, and PIERRE

The de Sainte-Coquilles

Bridgette is the widowed head of the Bower Village de Sainte-Coquille household, a portly, pompous, and critical older woman. Despite her coming across outwardly as condescending and gluttonous, not helped there by the fact that her favorite conversational topic is food, she's surprisingly generous and community-minded, and thinks of the cape and its town as more things of beauty that everyone ought to be able to enjoy; she is a friend of Mayor Thomas and often has great involvement in planning and preparing local festivals, and more than one business in town has benefited from a loan courtesy of Bridgette.

Michell, Lorraine, and Pierre are Bridgette's children in order from oldest to youngest. Michell, the eldest son, is the picture of a gentleman and a prince - or so Bridgette and her late husband intended him to be. He is almost painfully proper, moralistic, and chivalrous - ladies, please don't mistake him for patronizing! - on one hand, but on the other, takes his grooming for a philanthropic mindset to heart. Lorraine, mommy's little girl, is the most bold of the three de Sainte-Coquille children, and seemingly arrogant, full of a sense of pride and power, and has an ambitious and competitive spirit. Pierre, the youngest, is the most outright friendly, sociable, and frivolous of his siblings. Pierre has his mother's passion for food, although unlike her he hasn't let it ruin his figure, and has studied the culinary arts out of town. He enjoys assisting Tabitha in cooking meals for family, guests, and the occasional festivals, but he is most known in town for selling recipes and judging for the cooking contest at the annual Harvest Festival.
